This week we...

Another good week under our belts. Things calmed down a bit this week.  Here's some of the highlights. Most of the week was just spent at home with the kids. I was supposed to coach Cason's soccer practice on Monday because his coach was out of town, but I was a little worried about how I would do it will Kami and Ellie so Dan came home from work a little early and coached for me. He's good to me. It was pretty funny. Keeping that many 4/5 on task in a big open field is no small feat.  Then we came home and had FHE but neither of us can remember what we did haha. Must not have been that memorable. On Wednesday I took the kids to our ward play date. There were only two other women there but it was nice to let the kids play and get to know a few more people in the area. I worked again Wednesday night. I'm still training. It's a lot to take in, especially when I only go in once a week. But I'm catching on and hopefully I'll be ready to be on my own soon. It...

Last week we...

This past week has flown by. Here's a quick summary of what went on at the Rich household. Tuesday we... cleaned, cleaned, cleaned and had a nice shiny house at the end of the day! Such a good feeling! Then my mom picked the kids and I up and we ran over to the library where they picked up tons of book and a few Disney movies. Our kids love the library and I quite enjoy taking them. We go a lot. Cason got all animal books. Usually he throws in a few motorcycle/racing books but not today. I now know more about wolves, mountain lions, giraffes, lions, tigers, etc. that I could qualify for a job at the zoo. We've been borrowing lots of Disney movies too because they haven't seen most of them and I want them to know some of the characters at Disneyland. When we got back from the Library Dan went to mutual and I got the kids to bed then when he got home I went for a little run which felt really good. It's so nice to feel my body move and get back to normal after having a b...

Day at home

Today was as pretty typical day for us. Cason didn't have preschool today so we just hung out at home all day, which sometimes makes us stir crazy and sometimes is really nice. Today it was nice. I was able to get somethings done around the house and the kids got to be kids. I love watching their little imaginations at work. Cason got a bow and arrow for Easter (he used to call bow and arrows barren-ovel up until about two weeks ago, it made us laugh every time) and went out to hunt birds in the empty lot next to our house. I snuck a few pictures from the window while he was hunting. He is such a boy. I will be sad when they build a house next to us. It is the perfect play ground for our kids. Cason and Kami spend hours playing over there. Ellie was such a good baby today. She napped a ton. I started to feel a little guilty for not holding her more. For Family Home Evening Dan taught the kids about obedience (we've been struggling with that a bit lately) and then we introduced...

Weekend Recap

Well the weekend flew by as always. Here's a quick recap... On Friday Dan, Ellie and I ran down to Las Vegas. Cason and Kami stayed and played with Grandma and Grandpa. We have a condo down there that we bought a few years ago. It has been a great investment for us but we've decided it is time to sale and invest elsewhere. So we went down there to check our renters out and meet with the realtor. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean it was when we got down there. We planned on spending the day cleaning it and getting it ready to sale but all we needed to do was mop and wipe the counters, so it turned into a really quick trip. Hopefully is sales fast! It was really weird not having Cason and Kami with us. During the drive we kept saying "Isn't it so quiet". It was fun to have a day together and be able to talk, uninterrupted!  Ellie was great for us, I forgot how easy it is to just have one kid! As nice as the peace and quite was we were excited to get bac...

Let's try this again...

Well, I started this blog over five years ago to keep our family up to date with our family and haven't written much since then. But now I'm back, but this time not to keep anyone else in the loop but to make sure that Dan and I never forget the stage of life we are in right now and to document our adventures. I used to be really good at writing a journal but have completely stopped since we got married. It has been weighing on my mind a lot lately. Someday I will be so sad when these crazy, hectic, fun filled days with little kids are over. So, here I go again. I was never really good at blogging because I would always worry about what others would think.  Luckily my blog has been inactive for so long I'm sure no one even knows it still exists, so I can be alone with my thoughts, and Dan and I can have all our memories stored in a place we can easily access them. I guess I will start by giving a brief update on our family, it has changed a lot since I posted on here last...
