November 2016

They say time flies when your having fun, so we must be having a lot of fun. I don't know where the time goes. Here is what November looked liked for us.  We didn't have a ton of success with our first garden. Better luck next year I guess. We did get plenty of squash and a few cherry tomatoes. Our tomatoes finally started to take off in November and then while we were out of town one weekend it froze and we lost them all. At least we have a few ideas on how to improve!  We walked over to the park one day to enjoy the nice weather and for the boys to kick some field goals. We have a little field goal in our back yard that Dan built for Cason but they wanted to try out the big one. On Cason's very first kick Dan put him way far back and told him he would give him $100 if he made it, thinking  was no way he could kick it that far or high (this picture is taken later when they moved closer FYI), and of course Cason nailed it! I wasn't close by when it happene...

October 2016

October is Southern Utah is my favorite. The weather is absolutely wonderful. Here is a quick recap of what we were up to. Ellie took to the ottoman to display her artwork during General Conference. Look how proud she is of herself! Unfortunately, marker does not come out of fabric so good. It's a good thing she's so cute!  We spent a lot of time enjoying Grandma and Grandpa's pool. The kids have turned into little fish. Even Kami, who didn't like putting her head under water now prefers to take her floaties off and can swim short distances. Her favorite activity is to dive to the bottom of the shallow end to pick up dive sticks. Cason's favorite pool activity is to jump off of the jumping rock to catch the football. Ellie just loves to waddle around and explore, but especially loves when Dan and I get in to play with her. We discovered an awesome park in Hurricane call Grandpa's pond. There are tons of ducks to feed, walking/biking paths an...

September 2016

I am always playing catch-up with keeping a family journal this way but life is busy and better late than never, right? September flew by, like all months seem to do these day. Here is a quick recap.  I haven't been working at the hotel much lately, but I did a morning shift to help cover for someone who couldn't come in and snapped a picture of the amazing sunrise. I can see why people like it here so much! The businesses have been doing really well. Amazing really! Dan is doing such an amazing job. I don't know how he handles all of his responsibilities. He has a lot on his plate, doing the finances for both businesses and managing the hotel, and somehow gets it done. I'm pretty sure he does the job that most businesses would have five plus people doing. He also handles all HR, marketing, construction/maintenance projects, etc. The list could really go on and on.  I have been blown away by how amazing he is at his job. I have so much confidence in his ability so I...
