Well...

...I don't really know where to start. A lot has been happening since I posted last. So I will try and give a quick update of what our little family has been up to in the past few months. I will start with Cason... he is always fun to talk about. He is almost 7 months old and is so much fun. He is all smiles (if your giving him attention) and loves to meet new people. He is quite the social little boy. He went on his first airplane ride down to Las Vegas to see my parents (they moved down there a few months ago) and Amy's family and he loved the plane and would smile at anyone who would make eye contact with him. It was really cute. He has been quite the little traveler. Between his four month and six month check ups he went to Casper three times and Las Vegas once. He is now sitting up on his own, eating baby food, rolling around, grabbing everything he can get his little hands on and now has two little teeth poking through. He keeps us busy but we are sure having fun watching...

Summer Fun!

Well, we've had quite a busy summer. I wish it wasn't going by so fast. Here are a few pictures of what we've been up to. We love having this cute little guy with us everywhere we go! My Mom and Dad got back from their mission on the Big Island and got to meet Cason for the first time! We blessed Cason the next Sunday in our old ward (my parents ward) the same week they gave their homecoming talks. Dan's parents stayed with us the week following the baby blessing and brought their boat. So we got to spend a few days out on the lake. Cason loved it! We've got a lake baby! We found a really fun rope swing at Deer Creek and spent a lot of time there. And last but not least... Landscaping! Our never ending battle. We've still got a lot to do but it is coming along slowly but surely.
This past week we've been making the big move. We have a lot more stuff than we thought and and having a cute little six week old kind of slows the process down a bit. Luckily, we got the majority of it moved in all in one long day and have slowly been moving the rest. We have absolutely loved living in my parents beautiful house but are so excited to have a place of our own! Our new home! Some of our stuff before being loaded into the trailer. I can't resist posting pictures of Cason. He is getting so big and has such a cute little personality. We sure love having him around! Taking a nap with Dad. Doesn't this look comfortable. Is there anything cuter than a baby in jeans?

3 Weeks and Counting!

Our sweet little Cason is already three weeks old. Time has definitely sped up since he came along. He is such a cute boy and is getting more active and more personality every day! At his two week appointment we were happy to find that he gained a pound and grew an inch and a half since he was born, putting him in the 20th percentile for weight and 85th for height! Here are some of our favorite pics of him. This is my very favorite picture of Cason. He just finished eating and didn't want to wake up! Cason's first bath in the actual tub. He hates being naked (like when he's getting his diaper changed) and therefore didn't love the bath at first but once I got the cover on him he calmed down and was sooo cute in there! Going for a ride! He can't decide if he loves or hates his carseat. He had to be on a Billi-bed for the first few days we had him home to help get rid of his jaundice. Once he got used to it he quite like it, I on the other hand hated it. Our first fam...

Cason Daniel Rich April 27, 2010 11:15 am 6 lb 13 oz 20 inches He is healthy and happy and we couldn't love him more! More pictures coming soon!

39 down 1 to go

We can't wait! Only ONE week left until the big due date. I don't think I've ever been so excited and so scared for the same thing. Time seems to be have gone into slow motion and one week seems like an eternity. I definitely wouldn't complain if he decided to surprise us a few days early! I had another ultra sound last week and the poor little guy is so smashed in there... he's getting so BIG. The technician guessed that he already weighs about 7 lbs. Because he was so smashed we didn't get any good images of his face but were able to see the hair on his head... so cute! We can't wait to meet him!

Baby Shower!

Last week the cute ladies in my ward threw me a Baby Shower. They formed a whole committee to plan it and it was quite the production. There were tons of women there and they were so generous. Now I really can't wait for the little guy to get here to put all his cute stuff to use! Only a few weeks to go... we can officially say we are having a baby this month! Crazy! Here are a few pictures from the shower! Dan's Mom and Aunt made this blanket for us! If you can't tell from the picture it is a golf blanket! Dan and I helped tie it while we were in Denver last month. Our favorite pair of shoes from my sister Amy! I can't wait to put these on his little feet! Our little Aloha outfit from Elder Grandpa and Sister Grandma in Hawaii! So cute! This present is pretty self explanatory. This is a cute little mat for the baby to lay on. It is sooo soft, we wish they made it for adults!

Happy Birthday Dan!

This week was Dan's 25th birthday. We decided to just stay home and have a low key celebration which included a delicious steak dinner, cake and presents! Here are a few pictures. Dan displaying a few of his birthday presents. My sister Erin helped me make a fondant cake for Dan. I was very happy with the way it turned out. Not bad for my first try. Our nephews stopped by to surprise Dan with a Denver Bronco's poster. They are cute boys.

We did it!

Yes, we finally decided to join the crowd and start a blog. We figure its a great place to keep our family and friends up to date on our little family, especially since both of our parents are out of state. And... what better to be our first post than ultra sound pictures of our little boy who will be here at the end of April. Only three more months! We couldn't be more excited! At our first ultra sound in December the technician told us he was one of the most active babies she had ever seen, I just wasn't feeling him yet, but things have changed... I love feeling him move and get so excited every time I do. Dan is sure we have a future NFL kicker on our hands. These pictures are from my Jan 21st ultra sound. Seeing that he was healthy was the best birthday present I could have asked for! Profile (he's puckering up) Feet ... so cute! Arms and Face Hand His temporary home ! 27 weeks. It feels a lot bigger than it looks.
