September 2015

September was a fun busy month here is a quick photo summary.
Cason is obsessed with football lately. He loves to play it, watch it, talk about it... Here is Dan and him playing catch at the park on a Sunday afternoon.

Snow cones and swinging at a fun new park for FHE.

We tried out a place in Toquerville that is famous for their cinnamon rolls. It is a tiny little place but you sit outside on the edge of a huge cliff overlooking Confluence park. Not very kid friendly but at least we can mark it off of our to-do list. Oh and the girls are obsessed with their daddy! He's the best.

Cason taking the wheel on a Jeep adventure while Kami and Ellie slept in the backseat.

Painting in the back yard.

My parent's have flood irrigation every two weeks and they have a little retention pond that fills up in front of their house, perfect for kayaking! The kids look happy in the picture but they were actually both super grumpy the whole time we were there so we didn't stay very long haha.

On this day the girls and I left to go pick up Cason from school, we live super close so we walked as always and on our way home it started to pour. A little warm rain never hurt anyone!

Ellie continues to be a mover. She pulled herself up (a new trick of hers) on one of the toy baskets and flipped right in. I can't look at this picture and not laugh. Does it make me a bad mom that I stopped to take a picture before I pulled her out?

Ellie and I made a quick weekend trip to Northern California with all my siblings and my parents for the weekend. It was soooo much fun and Ellie was a fun little travel companion. We flew into Oakland and drove up the Mendocino Coast (I think that's what it's called) and stayed at the little Vegan resort which turned out to be really cool. Dan was nice enough to stay home with Cason and Kami so I could have a much needed getaway.

Ellie didn't sleep so good the first night and we were sharing a room with all of my sisters so as soon and the sun came up Ellie and I went exploring so they could sleep in. It was a little chilly and very beautiful!

We rented an outrigger canoe and paddled up the river for a couple of hours. Ellie stayed with my dad and cried the whole time but I was blissfully enjoying the beautiful scenery with no cell phone service. I felt pretty bad when I got back but it was really fun while we were out. We saw seals and otters swimming up the river.

We ate LOTS of really great food on the trip. We stopped at this little restaurant for dessert. It was located on a cliff overlooking the ocean and the sun was setting so we asked them to bring it to us out in the garden area. It was magical!

We drove through a redwood forest. My first time.

Did mention the food was really good yet? I have the greatest family. It is really fun to be together without all the kids sometimes so we actually get to talk... or should I say laugh? I think we laughed all weekend long.

In the picture Cason and I were lucky enough to go to Tuacahn with my mom. We saw "When You Wish" which was compilation of a bunch of different Disney songs. It was amazing. I could have cried watching Cason watch it all. He was completely mesmerized and so excited about everything. It was so much fun.

Kami continues to be the cutest little girl of all time. We sure love her fun personality.
And there you have it, a few of my favorite parts of September.

2018 HIghlights

Picture journal catch up! Here is a quick month to month photo log of what we were up to in 2018. Time is flying by a little too fast! January- February- March- April- May- June- July- August- September- October- November- December- What a fun year! I know I am way way way behind but I just want to make sure I document some of our fun adventures so we never forget what an amazing life we have been blessed with. We have had plenty of hard times but looking back through these pictures helps us to be grateful for all the good times as well!

February 2017

February refused to slow down for us. The kids also refused to slow down for us. I sure do love these busy days with our little family.  Unfortunately, Ellie figured out how to climb out of her crib and decided that climbing out and playing with toys is much more fun than napping. So, she is done with naps, which makes this tired, pregnant mom very sad. When I put her down for naps this is usually what I find when I go back into her room. She keeps me busy! As you can see from the picture, the kids (I think it might have just been Ellie and Kami that did the damage) decided to pull ALL of the books out of the cabinet. They love to look at books, which I love. They usually just get the books out that they want to read, but this day was obviously different. Luckily, it is an easy cleanup.  Dan turned 32 this month! We had my parents over for mint brownies and ice cream to celebrate. He had to take the youth snow tubing up at Brian Head on his birthday so we didn'...

October 2016

October is Southern Utah is my favorite. The weather is absolutely wonderful. Here is a quick recap of what we were up to. Ellie took to the ottoman to display her artwork during General Conference. Look how proud she is of herself! Unfortunately, marker does not come out of fabric so good. It's a good thing she's so cute!  We spent a lot of time enjoying Grandma and Grandpa's pool. The kids have turned into little fish. Even Kami, who didn't like putting her head under water now prefers to take her floaties off and can swim short distances. Her favorite activity is to dive to the bottom of the shallow end to pick up dive sticks. Cason's favorite pool activity is to jump off of the jumping rock to catch the football. Ellie just loves to waddle around and explore, but especially loves when Dan and I get in to play with her. We discovered an awesome park in Hurricane call Grandpa's pond. There are tons of ducks to feed, walking/biking paths an...
