November (and Halloween) 2015

For some reason Halloween pictures got mixed in with the November pictures so here they are!
Halloween was VERY exciting around here! Kami was a cowgirl, Cason was a Power Ranger and Ellie was a BYU Cheerleaders. All costumes were hand-me-downs and the kids loved them and I loved that I didn't have to buy anything. Kami even had other options but was adamant on being a cowgirl!

Ellie was a champ hanging out in the stroller all night. We love this warm-weather trick-or-treating. It is so nice that we don't have to bundle everyone up so we can actually see the costumes.

This was not on Halloween, it's just Kami picking Cason up from school as a super hero.

Ellie is mastering the art of walking. She started at 10 months which is crazy to us. She keeps me on my toes. She is constantly on the move!

Here is Dan working on the sprinkler system in the freezing cold. On this night in-particular it was crazy windy and unusually cold but that didn't stop him. He was working out there until 10 pm. He is the hardest worker I know!

We had a really fun weekend with Dan's family over the weekend of Ton'y's birthday. We had a little birthday celebration/Thanksgiving/family reunion at our house. It was a ton of fun. Dan has such a great family. We spent Saturday at Sand Hallow riding the 4-wheelers at the sand dunes and enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery. Then had dinner at Cliffside as pictured above in the private dining on the table that Dan built.

Our first thumb sucker. I think its the cutest thing ever.

Here is picture of Kami being a tab bit grumpy. This weekend we went up to Salt Lake for Brooke and Jason's sealing. It was such an awesome experience to witness and be a part of. They were sealed to their little boy Rylan in the Oqhirre Mountian Temple. We are so happy for them and were so glad we were able to be there.

These two are best buds. They have been playing so good together lately. It is so fun to watch their little friendship. Nothing makes me happier than to watch the get along.

Cason is a great big brother. He loves to help with Ellie. We have to tell him constantly to leave her alone. He treats her like a little puppy... which is sweet, but sometimes he accidentally crosses the line of holding and wrestling. If she grows up to be tough we will have him to thank.

Speaking of wrestling... you can always count on a good wrestling match when dad is around. He is so good at getting down on the ground and playing with the kids. In fact, if he sits on the ground even for a second you can bet someone will be jumping on him in no time! Ellie likes to get right in there too.

Ellie learning to walk. She is so full of energy. It is so fun to watch her cute little personality coming out.

Kami doing some light reading while going potty. I about died when I saw this. She is so funny.

The kids are getting really good at building forts. This one even had two separate rooms.

Dan and I had our 8th Anniversary on the 17th! Time sure does fly. For our Anniversary we went on a getaway to the M in Las Vegas. With NO KIDS! It is the first time we have both been away from all kids over night since Cason was 18 months old. We had a great time! We had all these fun things planned but once we got there we just wanted to relax. So we ate really good food, got massages, shopped and ate more really good food! It was just what we needed.  I am so lucky to be his wife.

Here is Grandpa taking Kami for a ride on Maggie. Kami insisted on wearing a motorcycle helmet. Saftey first!

My sister Amy and her kids were actually here this weekend. It was really fun to see them. I just forgot to get a picture with them. Oops.

Our friends were in town the Dan after Thanksgiving and had an extra minute so we met them at Walmart for a few minutes. As you can tell the kids were really happy to see each other and it was fun for the adults to catch up.

So Kami kind of like trick-or-treating. She had this reaction at every single house. It was hilarious. She got excited every single time. I don't think she knew you got more than one piece of candy so she was surprised at every house. It was so cute. I don't want her to grow up.

2018 HIghlights

Picture journal catch up! Here is a quick month to month photo log of what we were up to in 2018. Time is flying by a little too fast! January- February- March- April- May- June- July- August- September- October- November- December- What a fun year! I know I am way way way behind but I just want to make sure I document some of our fun adventures so we never forget what an amazing life we have been blessed with. We have had plenty of hard times but looking back through these pictures helps us to be grateful for all the good times as well!

February 2017

February refused to slow down for us. The kids also refused to slow down for us. I sure do love these busy days with our little family.  Unfortunately, Ellie figured out how to climb out of her crib and decided that climbing out and playing with toys is much more fun than napping. So, she is done with naps, which makes this tired, pregnant mom very sad. When I put her down for naps this is usually what I find when I go back into her room. She keeps me busy! As you can see from the picture, the kids (I think it might have just been Ellie and Kami that did the damage) decided to pull ALL of the books out of the cabinet. They love to look at books, which I love. They usually just get the books out that they want to read, but this day was obviously different. Luckily, it is an easy cleanup.  Dan turned 32 this month! We had my parents over for mint brownies and ice cream to celebrate. He had to take the youth snow tubing up at Brian Head on his birthday so we didn'...

December 2016

Once again, I have fallen behind in posting our monthly journals but here is a quick picture recap of December (at least what I can remember of it).  Kami had her dance recital at the Festival of the Trees here in Hurricane. I could have died from all of her cuteness. She did great!  In early December the girls and I took a quick trip with my parents to Monterrey to visit Amy's family (evidently I didn't take any pictures while we were there haha) while Dan and Cason stayed home because of work and school.  It was a really fun trip for us girls. I always love a chance to be around my sisters and to let our kids play with their cousins. It was also a good excuse for Dan and Cason to have a boys weekend. In this picture Cason is helping Dan rake the leaves at the house of a widow he home teaches.  They also raked a lot of leaves at our house! Dan is a such a good dad and take every opportunity to teach our kids to serve others and to work hard. Al...
