We've had a big couple of weeks...

So I forgot to write last week. Oops. A lot has happened in the past two weeks and since my memory is terrible I am just going to add a bunch of pictures to document what we've been up to. This is going to be a super long post. But I don't want to forget it.

Last week while Dan was at mutual the kids and I build a little fort and watched video's on the National Geographic Kids site. They loved it and it made me laugh how glued they were to educational video's about volcanoes and such that were way over their heads.
Last week I also went golfing first thing one morning with my dad. Dan was supposed to go but being the good husband that he is he offered to stay home with the kids so I could go. It was really fun! I love golfing with my dad. It brings back so many good memories. I even played really good, which is very rare.
I got bored one day last week and decided to take the kids on a little adventure so I borrowed my mom's Jeep and took themkids out to the desert to explore and climb on the rocks. We had such a good time. We didn't get to stay very long because it started to rain and I was worried about Ellie. But she slept the whole time and was the perfect baby that she always is!  It was so fun for Cason and Kami to be able to run around without boundaries and it is fun for me to take the Jeep off-road for a bit! We will definitely be doing it again when the weather is better.

Cason turned 5!!! I seriously can't believe it. I don't know where the time has gone. Dan and I can't believe how fast he is growing up. We celebrated his b-day a day early since we were driving to California on his actual birthday. He of course had no problem with that and was thrilled with all of his presents!
How cute is he?! We sure do love this 5 year old. He doesn't always make things easy for us and keeps us on our toes but we wouldn't change anything about his fun personality. I am excited to watch him grow and see all the amazing things he will accomplish. He has so much potential. I know he has great things in store for him.

Now on to DISNEYLAND!!!! We drove to Anaheim on Cason's b-day and went to Disneyland the following day. We had so much fun. I'm pretty sure the kids were passed exhausted but were able to pull through and went non-stop all day. We were lucky enough to have my parents go with us, which made it even more fun. My mom LOVES Disneyland and is pretty much an expert. Thanks to here we were able to do everything we wanted to and never had to wait in a line for more than 20 minutes. Not to mention they would stay with Kami and Ellie so we could ride the bigger rides with Cason.

Cason LOVED the thrill rides! Every time we got off a fast ride he would beg to go again. Luckily because of the stroller pass he would get to!

He was pretty proud to be able to wear a birthday pin and 1st time pin! He was on cloud 9 all day!

Ellie was  perfect all day. I would either wear her in the front pack or push her in the stroller and she never even cried. Not to mention is was 90 degrees and she was sweaty all day. She is such a trooper. I love having her along everywhere we go. Actually she did cry once... while my Dad was watching her and Kami so the rest of us could go on Splash Mountain. As we were getting on the ride, Dan got a text that said "Send Dot!" It made us laugh, and my mom still got to ride anyway. Evidently Ellie was screaming and he couldn't get her out of the front pack and at the same time Kami fell down and was screaming too. Luckily they all survived and we had a pretty good laugh about it.

Cason and Dan got to ride Space Mountain three time. First with me and then my mom, when they went that time they forgot to unload them so they went twice in a row. Cason loved it. It think it made Dan a little sick.

Star Tours.

Cason got chosen for the Jedi Academy. It was soooo cute. They taught them how to use a light saber and then they got to fight Darth Vader.

My Dad was such a good sport. He spent a lot of his day with the girls so we could go on the rides. We could not have done Disneyland without my parents. They were such a huge help and fun to have around.
Have I already mentioned how good she did?
On the river boat.
Kami also did so good all day. We were a little worried she wouldn't like waiting around while Cason got to go on more rides, but she was a happy camper all day! She loved everything about Disneyland and keeps telling me how much she misses is.
On Wednesday we went to Downtown Disney for breakfast and my parents bought Cason a Build-A-Car for his birthday. He thought it was so cool to be able to pick out and build his own car. All the grown-ups even thought it was cool!
Building his car with Dad! He was a happy boy!
Just doing a little dancing after breakfast.

After my parents left on Wednesday we headed for the coast and spend the rest of our trip relaxing at pools, beaches, and parks. We had a blast. It was the perfect ending to a fun trip. The kids loved the beach, as all kids do. Dan and I had so much fun playing with them and watching them play.

By the end of our trip Cason could swim without his floaties and even come up for air and keep going. I need to get him in lessons.  He loves the water and is a little to comfortable. He would also go down and sit on the bottom of the pool with Dan and dive off the side all by himself, headfirst with no floaties. That kid has no fear.
Kami on the other hand has a lot of fear! But by the end of the trip she would jump off the edge and would allow herself to float in the water, which doesn't seem like a big deal but for her it is. Usually she just walks around the pool and plays on the stairs.
I think I wore Ellie for most of the trip. She's my little buddy!
Our hotel at Disneyland didn't have a bathtub so Ellie got a sink bath and she quite enjoyed it!

This is how Kami ended the day at Disneyland and I thought it would be a fitting last picture because it pretty much sums up how we all felt by the end. Traveling with three little kids is A LOT of work but it was so worth it! We had a blast. It was so nice to have so much uninterrupted family time.

In other big news that I don't have a picture to go along with. We sold our Vegas condo! It closed and recorded on Friday so we stopped by Primm on our way home and celebrated with a little shopping trip! It was fun, except for shopping with kids is NEVER fun. But we all walked away with some fun stuff from the Nike outlet so its all good.  We are using the money from the condo to invest in the hotel and restaurant, which we are excited about!

Until next week!

2018 HIghlights

Picture journal catch up! Here is a quick month to month photo log of what we were up to in 2018. Time is flying by a little too fast! January- February- March- April- May- June- July- August- September- October- November- December- What a fun year! I know I am way way way behind but I just want to make sure I document some of our fun adventures so we never forget what an amazing life we have been blessed with. We have had plenty of hard times but looking back through these pictures helps us to be grateful for all the good times as well!

February 2017

February refused to slow down for us. The kids also refused to slow down for us. I sure do love these busy days with our little family.  Unfortunately, Ellie figured out how to climb out of her crib and decided that climbing out and playing with toys is much more fun than napping. So, she is done with naps, which makes this tired, pregnant mom very sad. When I put her down for naps this is usually what I find when I go back into her room. She keeps me busy! As you can see from the picture, the kids (I think it might have just been Ellie and Kami that did the damage) decided to pull ALL of the books out of the cabinet. They love to look at books, which I love. They usually just get the books out that they want to read, but this day was obviously different. Luckily, it is an easy cleanup.  Dan turned 32 this month! We had my parents over for mint brownies and ice cream to celebrate. He had to take the youth snow tubing up at Brian Head on his birthday so we didn'...

December 2016

Once again, I have fallen behind in posting our monthly journals but here is a quick picture recap of December (at least what I can remember of it).  Kami had her dance recital at the Festival of the Trees here in Hurricane. I could have died from all of her cuteness. She did great!  In early December the girls and I took a quick trip with my parents to Monterrey to visit Amy's family (evidently I didn't take any pictures while we were there haha) while Dan and Cason stayed home because of work and school.  It was a really fun trip for us girls. I always love a chance to be around my sisters and to let our kids play with their cousins. It was also a good excuse for Dan and Cason to have a boys weekend. In this picture Cason is helping Dan rake the leaves at the house of a widow he home teaches.  They also raked a lot of leaves at our house! Dan is a such a good dad and take every opportunity to teach our kids to serve others and to work hard. Al...
