Birthday Boy!

Cason turned 1!!! I know this is a little late but I thought I would share a few pictures from his birthday, which was April 27th! The past year has gone way too fast, by far the fastest year of our lives (I think I've said that a million times in the past few weeks). Cason is such a busy boy lately. He is on the verge of walking... he can take a few steps but they always end in a dramatic fall and clapping. He's a funny boy.

Due to family being in town on the weekends surrounding his birthday he got three birthday celebrations. He's so spoiled. Here are some pictures.

Party #1 with the Rich side of the family.
He wasn't quite sure about the cup cake at first.

My eyes look funny thanks to red-eye correction
Bike helmet from Grandpa Tony

Wee-Ride bike seat from Mom and Dad (really a present for Mom)!
Party #2 with Mom and Dad

Birthday bike ride...

Followed by a picnic and some quality time playing with Dad!

Party #3 with Heers side of the family!

The cousins helping him blow out his candle!
He knew what to do with the cake this time around!

This isn't birthday related, but we have been doing a lot of yard work at our house lately so I thought it would be fitting to post a picture of Cason playing in the dirt. We are so close to being done. Rocks are removed. Ground is level. Sprinklers system is done. Trees are in. Now we just have to spread these huge piles of top soil and seed and we will have a beautiful green yard in no time. To say we are excited to be done would be an understatement. We are sooo sick of yard work and so excited for a yard.

2018 HIghlights

Picture journal catch up! Here is a quick month to month photo log of what we were up to in 2018. Time is flying by a little too fast! January- February- March- April- May- June- July- August- September- October- November- December- What a fun year! I know I am way way way behind but I just want to make sure I document some of our fun adventures so we never forget what an amazing life we have been blessed with. We have had plenty of hard times but looking back through these pictures helps us to be grateful for all the good times as well!

February 2017

February refused to slow down for us. The kids also refused to slow down for us. I sure do love these busy days with our little family.  Unfortunately, Ellie figured out how to climb out of her crib and decided that climbing out and playing with toys is much more fun than napping. So, she is done with naps, which makes this tired, pregnant mom very sad. When I put her down for naps this is usually what I find when I go back into her room. She keeps me busy! As you can see from the picture, the kids (I think it might have just been Ellie and Kami that did the damage) decided to pull ALL of the books out of the cabinet. They love to look at books, which I love. They usually just get the books out that they want to read, but this day was obviously different. Luckily, it is an easy cleanup.  Dan turned 32 this month! We had my parents over for mint brownies and ice cream to celebrate. He had to take the youth snow tubing up at Brian Head on his birthday so we didn'...

October 2016

October is Southern Utah is my favorite. The weather is absolutely wonderful. Here is a quick recap of what we were up to. Ellie took to the ottoman to display her artwork during General Conference. Look how proud she is of herself! Unfortunately, marker does not come out of fabric so good. It's a good thing she's so cute!  We spent a lot of time enjoying Grandma and Grandpa's pool. The kids have turned into little fish. Even Kami, who didn't like putting her head under water now prefers to take her floaties off and can swim short distances. Her favorite activity is to dive to the bottom of the shallow end to pick up dive sticks. Cason's favorite pool activity is to jump off of the jumping rock to catch the football. Ellie just loves to waddle around and explore, but especially loves when Dan and I get in to play with her. We discovered an awesome park in Hurricane call Grandpa's pond. There are tons of ducks to feed, walking/biking paths an...
